I touch, you touch, we touch. Or at least we try to. I leave, you leave, we leave. As we’ve always tried to. Dekarnation, inspired by the poems of Eva Maria Leuenberger, tells its own tale: one journey through the impossibility of being together, a digging through the worth of longing. Three dancers exchange breath, skin, and bones. They are one, they escape the narrowness of loneliness to end up in the vastness of solitude. In the meantime, they stumble upon each other. The “we” ebbs and flows; the water comes up while the sky falls down.
Sophie Vergères (CH) invites the choreographers Marioenrico D'Angelo (IT) and Max Levy (USA/JP) & the musician Philipp Rumsch (DE) to compose this ever- changing landscape alongside her. It’s both a journey and a farewell: how disappearing might be the best way to love.
